The time has come to prepare the house to host Thanksgiving dinner, but like every year, you have to do an intelligent search because this is a very particular fall. After several years of price increases, and months before the elections, one tries to find the best prices.
Just when I was looking to decorate a staging for a house for sale that we were commissioned and contracted to, we decided to take advantage of the short budget we had and went directly to a Target that we had a few blocks away. We found a lot of decorative pieces for fall and Thanksgiving that are very good and cost a few bucks. These were the ones we chose: we spent very little and got to decorate the house to look like a million-dollar home.
A fall tablecloth for only $20 — It Looks Like Expensive Dupes
For the dining room of the house that we had to decorate, we picked a tablecloth from Target’s original brand, Threshold, with a horizontal striped pattern in warm, autumnal tones.
It has a frayed finish with fringes on the edges, to give it a boho-chic touch, the design trend that is ruling this year 2024. The measurements are 104″x60″ and the price is $20 at Target. On these table, we placed some of the next pieces: keep reading and discover the full staging.
A Centerpiece but Also a Cooking Stoneware
This pumpkin-shaped container, also from Target’s Threshold brand, is a charming piece that captures the sensations of fall, embedding itself in the boho-chic trend. Its design, inspired by the classic pumpkin, makes it a perfect decorative element for this season, and it worked perfectly for the staging of the house for sale we were working on.
Made of stoneware, a ceramic material known for its durability and heat resistance, this container is wonderful for serving soups, stews, or casseroles, or for desserts and other sweet things. Both the container and the lid give the pumpkin its shape. In our case, we used it as a simple centerpiece that brought subtle charm to the dining table in the house. The price is also only $20.
Threshold Glass Teapot and Mug
These types of double glass containers are in trend, but there is a wide range of prices (although they all look similar). We found at Target the teapot and glass cups that have gone so viral on social media.
While the teapot is priced at $15, each of the coffee mugs are just $6. They give the sensation that the coffee or tea you pour into the cup is suspended in the air, and it is one of the most beautiful things I have seen in this type of dinnerware.
The Perfect Beverage Tub to Keep Drinks Cold
This stylish chilling container is the missing piece at your next gathering. Its oval design and side handles give it a look that is both modern and timeless. We placed it at the entrance of the house for sale with soft drinks and natural juices, so that the families who came to the open day felt welcome.
It is made of high-quality metal with a matte black finish, but inside it has a stainless steel finish. It has a capacity of 2.5 gallons (ca. 9 liters) and is priced at $20. Furthermore, it is also part of the Threshold brand, original and exclusive to Target.
