Target launched “Circle Week” as a strategy to directly compete with Amazon’s Prime Day. This initiative took place in July 2022 and focused on offering exclusive discounts and promotions to members of Target’s loyalty program, known as Target Circle. It has worked very well and every year it launches new offers so as not to lose the momentum that the successful idea has left it.
Unlike Amazon, which requires an Amazon Prime subscription to access Prime Day deals, Target Circle is a free program that allows any customer to access promotions simply by signing up, which may appeal to a broader audience. So you and I could also take advantage of these promotions. Here are five of the top Target Circle Week discounts our deal hunters found.
Your Smart Home for Less Than $25
This is an excellent time to start your smart ecosystem at home, and to do this, the first thing you need to have is a smart hub, or a smart speaker, that controls everything with simple voice commands. From playing music and changing the lights, to starting the Roomba, everything can be done by giving a command to the Alexa integrated into the Amazon Echo Dot.
The Amazon Echo Dot offers a high-quality audio experience, with a pretty good speaker that offers clear, deep bass and defined highs. As a personal assistant, Alexa can help you schedule events on your calendar, set reminders and alarms, answer questions, and even maintain a fairly stable conversation, in addition to controlling smart devices. During Target Circle Week you can buy the Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen 2022) for only $22.99, instead of the regular $49.99.
Smart Television With a Simple Streaming “Stick”
What started as strong competition against the Google Chromecast and Roku has now become one of the best-selling streaming devices in the United States. The Amazon Fire TV Stick connects directly to the TV’s HDMI and is powered by a standard USB cable (which can be powered from the TV itself, or via an included adapter).
It is compatible with all streaming applications available in the United States: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Peacock, Hulu, Apple TV, Hayu, Xumo, and many more. Additionally, you can watch live channels through Sling TV subscription and on Free TV (over 200,000 free movies and TV episodes from popular ad-supported streaming apps like IMDb TV, Tubi, Pluto TV and others). You can also listen to music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, and other existing podcast services in the US. The regular price of this Fire Stick (2020 release) is $39.99, but during Circle Week it is $19.99.
Blink Wi-Fi Video Doorbell at half price
Those old analog doorbells, which only involve pressing a button to ring a bell, are a thing of the past since smart doorbells appeared. One of the most competitive brands available in our country is the Blink Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, it notifies your phone directly through an application but is also compatible with smart ecosystems from Google, Amazon, or Apple.
It captures videos in high definition (1080p) both day and night, thanks to its infrared night vision and offers the option to chat two-way with the person who rang the doorbell. Regular price is $59.99, but it’s on half-off sale for just $29.99 during Circle Week.
Ring Spotlight Cam Plus with a 35% discount
Improving security in your home is now very affordable, thanks to the wide range of cameras that connect to the internet. The Ring brand, one of the pioneers in smart doorbells, also offers smart cameras that, through the Internet, can be monitored by phone.
The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus high definition (HD) camera has two powerful LED spotlights that activate automatically when motion is detected, illuminating the area and deterring any potential intruder. You can communicate with the people in front of the camera directly from your smartphone, tablet, or smart hub. If necessary, it emits a loud audible alarm that also scares away intruders and alerts the homeowner to take action, if necessary. Regular price is $169.99, but with the 35% Circle Week discount, it’s now selling for $109.99.
$65 off the Amazon Fire HD 10” 32GB Tablet
The last of the five featured offers of Target Circle Week is an Amazon Fire HD tablet (2023 generation), with a 10-inch screen to enjoy a good book at home, to go to and from work with documents and presentations, to study in the classroom, and also watch movies and listen to music, among an infinite number of compatible applications.
This tablet is perfect for the whole family. Includes the Alexa voice assistant, which allows you to control the tablet with voice commands, play music, answer questions and much more. In addition, it has a children’s mode that allows you to create personalized profiles for the little ones in the house, with access to content appropriate for their age and parental control. Price is $74.99 during Circle Week, off its regular price of $139.99 (a savings of $65)
