Every year, my family takes a special trip to Los Angeles to celebrate Thanksgiving. It’s a tradition I love, and I’m always looking for new ways to surprise them with decorations that capture the essence of fall. Last year, I was obsessed with some scented candles from Aldi that sold out just when I was going to buy them, so I was left wanting. But this year, I found them again, and of course I didn’t let them go.
At home, the Thanksgiving table will be decorated with warm colors and cozy textures, all in tune with the decorative trends of fall 2024. This year, the trends lean towards terracotta tones, metallic golds and natural details, such as dried leaves and cinnamon sticks. That path of “metals” is perfect as a base to place these Aldi candles.
I Finally Got the Scented Candles From Aldi That Were Sold Out Last Year
The three I got are in elegant glass jars with a beautiful metallic finish, which adds an air of rustic sophistication. And its aromas… a delight! One of the candles has a pumpkin pecan streusel scent, which evokes a warm nostalgic embrace of the past. Its fragrance combines the sweetness of pumpkin with that crunchy touch of pecan streusel, creating a sweet and spicy but not cloying aroma.
You light it, and immediately it seems like sweet delights with caramelized pecans are about to come out of the oven. It’s the kind of candle that invites you to get snuggled up in a blanket, with a cup of hot chocolate in your hand.
Autumn Pumpkin Glass Candle
The classic fall scent, universal, unavoidable, unbeatable, is pumpkin, but with an elegant twist in the scent of this $6.99 Aldi candle. After trying it, I discovered a beautiful combination of pumpkin with subtle spices that are not overpowering, which create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
After a Thanksgiving dinner, the pumpkin pie comes out of the oven, steaming and warm, Mom makes her traditional mulled wine (a tradition she was taught by a German friend many years ago), and a couple of these pretty candles are lit to have the traditional post-dinner chat.
Pumpkin Honeycrisp Glass Candle From Aldi
This last one is a gem, and I think it’s my favorite of the three. The aroma is fresher, combining the sweetness of pumpkin with the acidic and juicy touch of Honeycrisp apples.
When you turn it on, the room is filled with an autumnal freshness, like walking in an apple orchard but right there in your living room. It is ideal to have lit in the living room during the day, keeping the house scented with that light and refreshing touch that contrasts with the warmer aromas of the season. The scent lasts for hours and hours, and like the other two candles, it’s only $6.99.
This year, I’m sure these candles will be the perfect addition to our Thanksgiving celebration, but, beyond this punctual celebration, the aromas will last all the way through Spring 2024.
